Sherie Knowlan and JoEllen Cottrell
The Winthrop Food Pantry Board of Directors announces the resignation of JoEllen Cottrell as Executive Director after 13 years of dedicated service. Under JoEllen’s visionary leadership, the Food Pantry has achieved remarkable growth, expanded its programs, and significantly deepened its impact within our community. Her unwavering commitment has been a cornerstone of our success, and we are profoundly grateful for her invaluable contributions.
We are also pleased to announce the appointment of Sherie Knowlan as the new Executive Director, effective January 1, 2025. Sherie brings a wealth of expertise, holding a degree in Mental Health and Human Services, along with certifications in nutrition and health and wellness coaching. Having been a valued member of the Food Pantry team for over eight years, Sherie has consistently demonstrated exceptional leadership and a deep passion for addressing food insecurity. We are confident that her education, experience, and dedication will usher in an exciting new chapter of growth and service for the Food Pantry.
