Hours of Operation

We are open every Thursday afternoon from 1:00 to 2:30. In addition we are open for evening hours on the 2nd and 4th Thursday of the month from 5:00-6:30.

Until further notice we are operating with curbside pick up only. You do not need to call ahead. We will be giving out prepared boxes of shelf-stable food along with bread, fresh produce, eggs, cheese and frozen meat. KidsPacks, diapers and feminine care products are available. Please stay in your vehicle and pull up to the outside check-in table. We will load the outside tables with your boxes and bags and once we are back inside, you may drive up to put the items in your vehicle.

As always, if you have any questions, please call us at 207-377-3332 or email us at winthropfoodpantry@gmail.com. You may also contact us through Facebook messenger, but please be aware that on Thursdays, your message may not be seen until later that evening.

A message to our community

As the coronavirus (COVID-19) continues to impact our communities, I want to assure you that the Winthrop Food Pantry is committed to protecting our volunteers and the people we serve.

The Food Pantry will remain open and continue to serve our community in a manner that keeps all of us safe. We ask anyone feeling unwell to stay home. Please ask a friend or family member to come to the Food Pantry for your food.

We have made changes in the way we operate. Until further notice, clients are not allowed into the pantry waiting area, we are operating with curbside pick-up only.

While we are only open to the public during our Thursday afternoon and evening sessions, food pantry volunteers work all week long to make sure the pantry is clean and well-stocked. We have increased our cleaning efforts, disinfecting frequently touched hard surfaces before, after and during sessions.

We continuously monitor the situation and follow recommendations from the CDC, State of Maine and the Town of Winthrop. We will quickly adapt to changing conditions while continuing to provide food to the people we serve in Winthrop and Wayne.

Updates will be posted on our website at winthropfoodpantry.org and our Facebook page. You can also call the food pantry at 207-377-3332 and leave a message, we will return your call.

Please take care of yourselves and each other.
